- No Dusk server between you and your mail. Dusk talks to Google and iCloud directly from your Mac, and there's no analytics.
- AI with no cloud fallback. Sorting, summaries and drafts use only Apple's on-device model, and still work offline.
- Tracking blocked. Emails are shown with scripts off and every remote image and tracker blocked, so senders can't see when you open them.
- Phishing set aside. A stranger's urgent email linking to a different site goes to Screened, not your inbox.
- Safe sending. Undo send, reply all only when you choose it, and a failed send is never resent blindly.
- Your keys stay yours. Sign-ins are stored in the macOS Keychain, and your licence is checked on your Mac.

If your fingers know Superhuman, Dusk will feel familiar. The core keys are the same idea: J and K to move, E to mark done, R to reply, Z to undo, / to search and ⌘K for everything else.
- Download Dusk and sign in with the same Google account.
- Your mail stays in Gmail, so nothing needs moving. Dusk downloads it and starts sorting.
- Use both for a week. When you're happy, cancel Superhuman before its next renewal.
- Is Dusk a subscription?
- No. It's $49 once, and the AI is included. A future Dusk 2 may be a paid upgrade, but Dusk 1 keeps working.
- Is the on-device AI as good as Superhuman's?
- For sorting, one-line summaries and short replies, it does the job well. Cloud models are bigger, and they're better at long, open-ended writing. Dusk checks every summary against the email's own text and throws away anything it can't back up.
- Does Dusk work with Outlook?
- Not yet. Gmail, Google Workspace and iCloud only.
- Can I use it on Windows or iPhone?
- No. Dusk is Mac only. An iPhone app is planned after the Mac launch.
